A man identified as ‘Sergei Torop’ has been nabbed by the Russian authorities for claiming to be ‘Jesus Christ’.
He was formerly a Police Traffic Officer and he’s been based in ‘Siberia’ for the last three decades.
In 1989, he was dismissed as a Traffic Officer, in 1991, he then founded ‘Church of the Last Testament’.
Russian Choppers & Security Operatives stormed the environments where he (Torop popularly called Vissarion) oversees and was arrestedaalongside his two partner in crime (Vadim Redkin, former drummer in a Soviet-era boy band, and Vladimir Vedernikov).
The charges against him are; organising an illegal religious organisation & extortion of money from followers.
“I am not God. And it is a mistake to see Jesus as God. But I am the living word of God the father. Everything that God wants to say, he says through me,” Torop said back in 2002.
