The General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management’s Authority , LASTMA has taken to social media to give last warning to its erring officers over their gruesome misconduct and unprofessionalism displayed by this operatives.
The commercial drivers have been lamenting over their extortion and harassment they are been subjected to by LASTMA officers across Lagos State. The private cars too aren’t left out of these officersbharrasmrnt of the public. These rogue officers extort, book motorist for unnecessary bookings.
The GM of the traffic body have now sent a sound warning to its erring members as the public has been reporting their ugly experiences. In the bid to avoid a protest like of the #EndSARS, the GM has now reveals a collective punishment to the coordinators , supervisors and the officers themselves will be punished for the avoidable abuse of office.
An except from his few minutes speech, he said;
IF THE OFFICERS DOES NOT CHANGE, THEY WILL TURN US. THEREFORE, HENCEFORTH, ANY OFFICER CAUGHT EXTORTING OR DELIBERATELY BEEN WICKED WILL PAY THE PRICE
