Rotary Club Okota Donates Wheel Chairs, Others To Spinal Cord Injury Home
To mark its 34th anniversary, Rotary Club of Okota has donated food items and wheelchairs to the Spinal Cord Injury Home, Amuwo Odofin.
The president of the club, Mr Gabriel Ogugua, said the club decided to mark the anniversary of the chartered club with the victims as part of their commitment to doing good to humanity.
“We did the need assessment and discovered that some of the disabled was bed-ridden because of lack of enough wheelchairs. We also discovered that some of the wheelchairs they had were bad; a situation that hampered their movement and forced many of them to stay in bed for long, which might also cause more sickness for them.
“We also learned that they feed on charity and therefore decided to come here to mark the anniversary of our club, which was chartered 34 years ago with them and brought for them foodstuff as well as these wheelchairs.
